I do track the car on road courses and the dragstrip, so I am looking for a good combo for both if possible. Budget is approximately 8-10k, and I do want to make use of the Cosworth 272 cams I have. As well, I am coming up on my 60k so that is when I plan to put the cams in as well as supporting mods. For now the car has a perrin fmic, ic piping, synapse bov, full tbe (no cat), 1000cc injectors, and robispec springs on dunlop star specs. Thanks in advance fellas{thumbup}

Lately i have been researching cop setups and read in one thread that someone used k series coils and i figured it would give it a shot since i have lots of k coils from swaps i have done. I previously had okada coil packs on my car (which came on it when i bought it) and yet they are junk as everyone says on here. I am making alittle over 400 hp and had to make the gap .22 to .20 just to get the car not to break up under boost. So i just wired up the k series coils and WOW what a difference it made! Feels more smooth responsive and pulls very hard to redline now with out breaking up.

It is very easy to do on the chassis harness there is a 12v which is white and red, ground which is black and white and trigger which is a smaller black and green, I had a extra k20 harness laying around so i cut the plugs off for the coils. On those all black is ground, red and black is power and each coil had a different color wire which is the trigger. I did not have connects to make a plug and play harness so i cut off the factory coil plug and and ran the 2 wires from each chassis wire to 1 and 4 from the drivers side and 2 and 3 from the passenger side and so on.

These coils sit in the perfect spot so it looks like you fit a piece of cf to make a plate. I have 2 pic which aren't great since it 11 pm and will have more once i make the coil plate and some heat resistant loom. Also i plan on opening the spark plug gap to see how far it can be before it breaks up (plugs are bpr8es).

So let me know what you guys think these coils are very inexpensive and easy to locate and wiring is a piece of cake.

Hi there.....

This sucks because I wanted to write a review about how nice this clutch felt with the pedal pressure and everything buuttt whatever....

So I installed my new clutch about 3 weeks ago ( ACT 13.1 lb fw, CM FX300) Everything feels great untill I try 7k shifts :( . It seriously just chills outside the gear for like 2 seconds before it finally clunks in like it used to do. I will do this in 2-3-4 gear shifts. It doesn't have a problem down shifting at all.

I did the 800 mile break in period without high boost/shifts. Everything was torqued to specs. Blah Blah Blah

What I'm going to do :
Bleed the slave/master ( maybe I should have done this first thing?)

Bleed it again.

Check the shift cables ( can't really mess these up can you? haha)

Adjust clutch pedal.

B!tch about $1k in parts and can't racecar my shheeiit.

Call ClutchMasters politely and ask for a full refund if I am unable to solve this myself.

PS i'm running the same Redline MT90 that I always use. I AM the greatest/fastest shifter in all the world lol. This has never happened with my stock clutch, even at 7.5k shifts.

Any input other than SEARRCCHHH would be great thanks guys :D

My mods consist of just about all the bolt ons. kelford 272, walbro, 780cc injectors, boost pill, adjustable wastegate, ect.. along with meth injection soon. I would like to get something like the exedy twin but my main concerns are rebuild price down the road. i like the fidanza flywheel with the replaceable friction plates. can the exedy twin clutch work with a fidanza flywheel? the exedy replacement flywheel is like $400..

I recently installed the greddy rs bov recirc and the cobb intake. I've been driving it around town testing to make sure everything is still working like it should. Anyway, I ran her a bit hard today and I come home to hear a hissing sound and pop the hood to find the radiator is leaking bad. Fluid is everywhere! I'm not sure what really could have caused it I've looked around and I don't see anything that looks immediately suspicious, no hoses disconnected or belts broken. Does anyone know what could be causing this?! I don't want to go to a dealer and spend a fortune if it's an easy fix. But from the way things sound I'm not sure that will be the case.

Any help is Greatly appreciated!!!:helpme:

I dont have any experience with manual or electronic controllers. I think for me it would be easiest to get a simple buy yet good electronic, so I dont have to mess with the manual. I know electronis can be a p.i.t.a. to set up correctly. This is why I am asking you guys for advice. any suggestions, this car is not daily driven, will only be driven a couple times a month.

I searched but didn't come up with much. I'm concerned about the stiffness of clutches as you go into heavier duty types. Reason I ask if a few years ago I was in a bad accident that left my left leg partially paralyzed and with a special brace I can operate a normal clutch in some cars but in some I can't because even the stock clutch is too stiff.

My uncle has a 700+ whp camaro and the kind of clutch he has in that is really light, lighter than some stock cars I've tried. I don't remember what he called it but its a hydrolic twin clutch which is why, he said, its so light.

Finally to my question, do Evo's have any clutch that operates like this? Or do they just get really stiff? I really want an Evo IX because I like it better than the EvoX, but I'll go with an Evo X with TC-SST if I have too.

Thanks for reading, and the replies.
